Why is English so important?
Our free English courses cater to all levels - whether you’re a beginner, looking to refresh your knowledge or seeking to gain a qualification. Our flexible roll-on roll-off courses allow you to start at any time and are personalised to support you in achieving your goals. To ensure you are studying at the correct level to suit your needs, you will need to complete a skills check. Come along in person to one of our skills check days which take place every Wednesday 1 pm at Stockton Business Centre or Friday at 9:30 am at Billingham Community Centre.

Entry Level 1 Functional Skills in English - Basic reading, writing or maths skills for those who may need additional support
