We recognise that everyone has unique needs and circumstances, and we are committed to providing a supportive learning environment for all individuals.
If you feel that you require additional assistance or support in any of our classes, we encourage you to reach out to us. We are more than willing to discuss your specific needs and work together to develop a personalized support plan that meets your requirements.
The support plan may include various aspects, such as providing advice and guidance on course accessibility, assisting you in accessing the course materials or resources, or even offering in-class support to help overcome any difficulties arising from disabilities or other challenges you may face.
We can support with:
Equipment - If you require adapted equipment, technological aids or modified software to access your course, we will make every effort to support your needs.
Coursework - If you find it hard to take notes or keep up with your coursework, please ask your tutor for help. You may wish to do a short free course to help improve your English, Maths or basic computers skills. Support may also be available in your class via a Support Worker.
Please note, in order to access any financial support, you will be required to complete a Declaration of Benefits form and provide evidence of the award of the qualifying benefits such as an award notice or letter from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), depending on the programme/ course you are undertaking.
If you are using Child Tax Credit as evidence for the Study Programme or Traineeship, a copy of a P60 or 3 months’ worth of bank statements is also required
Childcare - Free creche/or support for childcare costs is available on some courses. Funding to help with childcare costs may be available for learners who are in receipt of means tested benefits and are working towards a qualification.
Transport - We run courses in a variety of community venues so that there are local opportunities to learn. However, if you are in receipt of a means tested benefit and are working towards a qualification, there may be help with the cost of travel to a course.
Exams and additional costs - If you are in receipt of a means tested benefit, we may be able to help with the cost of examination fees, travel costs, books and equipment.
Our aim is to ensure that you have the necessary support and resources to fully engage and succeed in our classes. By understanding your needs and working collaboratively, we can create a tailored plan that addresses your unique circumstances and helps you make the most of your learning experience.
Please don't hesitate to contact us to discuss your needs or any concerns you may have. We are dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive educational environment, and we are here to assist you every step of the way.
