Overview

This course is for anyone who wants to learn the basics of drawing and painting, either for self-improvement, to aid relaxation, or to progress to other art and design courses. You won’t need experience of drawing or painting for this course. However, as it involves a small amount of reading and some work around measurements and proportion, you will need to hold basic literacy and numeracy skills

• Practice basic principles of drawing
• Experiment painting with at least one type of paint.
• Identifying the importance of close observation.
• Develop a basic knowledge of art historical movements and styles.
