- Understanding the Cost of Living: Participants will develop an understanding of the key components that make up the cost of living. They will explore factors such as housing expenses, transportation costs, utilities, food, healthcare, education, and entertainment. Participants will learn how these factors vary based on personal circumstances, geographical location, and economic conditions.
- Creating a Personal Budget: The course will guide participants in creating a comprehensive personal budget. They will learn how to assess their income, track expenses, and prioritise financial goals. Participants will gain practical skills in budgeting techniques, such as the 50/30/20 rule, where they allocate a percentage of their income to needs, wants, and savings. They will also explore strategies for reducing expenses and increasing income to maintain a balanced budget.
- Financial Planning and Goal Setting: Participants will learn the importance of setting short-term and long-term financial goals. They will explore various financial planning tools and techniques, including creating emergency funds, saving for retirement, and planning for major expenses such as buying a house or starting a family. Participants will develop strategies to align their budgeting decisions with their financial aspirations.
