Customer Service Level 2 Apprenticeship FS Initiative


This will be an office support role where you will provide admin support to colleagues in a busy office. You will be fully trained in all aspects of the role and your duties will increase as you get more comfortable with the role. Duties will include all expected admin duties including payroll duties.

Apprenticeship Summary

This will be a busy and varied role with lots of different duties, including:

Telephone work - answering and making calls
Computer work - e-mails, database work, and spreadsheet work, etc
Maintaining records
Making and checking orders
All admin duties, printing, photocopying, filing, etc
Giving good customer service to all service users
Reception work – meeting and greeting visitors
Payroll work

Wage/Working Week

Shift times will be Monday - Friday between 08:00 and 17:00.
You will also spend time in the training centre in Billingham, you will also be paid for your time spent in training.

Total hours per week: 30.00
Weekly Wage £124.50

About the Employer

Farmers Support Initiative (FS Initiative) is a UK Charity that promotes farming in Africa and Asia. We promote farming as a viable means of livelihood and sustainable avenue of social economic development in Africa and Asia.

Established in 2008 as NGO and registered as a charity under HM Revenue and Customs No. XT 13626, we promote and develop farming through our public enlightenment programmes, agro-based training programmes and practical assistances.

With the Mission to reposition farming to its glory days. We aim at using it as a formidable vehicle in the fight against hunger, poverty, crime, unemployment, and other social and economic ills bedevilling the society.

We focus mainly on advocacy with emphasis on information, training, and logistical assistance where necessary.


You will work for four days a week with the employer, in Stockton and come to the training centre in Billingham one day a week.
You will have a workplace mentor who will provide you with daily training, advice and guidance and you will also have an Assessor who will visit you in the workplace to observe you working.
You will also work with your Assessor when you are on your training day. This will include theory work and portfolio work for example
You will work towards a Customer Service Level 2 apprenticeship, which will also include Functional Skills in English, and maths, at Level 1. However, you may be exempt from the Functional Skills depending on what your previous qualifications are.
