In this Health & Social Care Apprenticeship you will receive full training and development and receive lots of support from your Work Place Mentor and your Assessor. You will be trained in all aspects of care and how to treat residents with dignity and respect. This can be a challenging role but it is also very rewarding.
This will be a varied role, every day will be different, you will receive full training and support, your duties will include (but are not limited to) :
• All aspects of care
• Social inclusion
• Taking part in activities, and in time planning activities
• Helping with meal times
• Personal care
• Engaging with and communicating with residents

• Weekly wage £124.50

You will work a minimum of 30 hours per week and a maximum of 40. Shifts will vary so will need to have a flexible approach. You will also spend 20% of your time in ‘off the job training’. You will also be paid for time spent in off the job training.

You will have a work place mentor who will provide you with daily training, advice and guidance and you will also have an Assessor who will visit you in the workplace to observe you working.
You will also work with your Assessor when you are on your training day at the training centre in Billingham. This will include theory work and also portfolio work for example.
This is a Level 2 Adult Care Worker Standard Apprenticeship, it also includes Functional Skills in English, maths. However you may be exempt from the Functional Skills depending on what your previous qualifications are.
You training will be to match your daily activities. These will include things such as team working, and health and safety at work etc. The qualification will also include an End Point Assessment.
